On my Duratec track frame with 68mm BB shell, I have a pair of Sugino 75 cranks fitted to a 109 Sugino 75 BB, and somehow I get a front chainline of 44,5mm. How the **** is that possible?

You torqued it to spec, right? It could be something that simple...

Well, since I don't really undersatnd what you mean, I guess you may have a point. Could you explain, please?

the more you torque the bolt down the further on the spindle it goes...

Well, maybe I could torque the right side a little tighter, but I doubt it will make 2,5mm..

Are you sure you dont need a 107 bb... its not uncommon.

could be, but sugino 75 BB and cranks SHOULD be 42mm. I will have a closer look at the cranks tonight.

Get a torque wrench, that could be part of the problem. Also, has your bb shell been faced? 1.5mm or more of paint and runout is not uncommon.
