whats your budget?
Sense you have DT Swiss wheels you could goandbuild ya a new set of DT Swiss . I have DTSwiss custom wheels with the 240 hub on RR1.1 rims which are an excellent set they can take a hell of a lot of punding ... SF roads are so crappy always feels like i'm rding in a 3rd world country but my wheels hold out well ...
I have seen a lot of good review on these http://www.neuvationcycling.com either areo3 or the R28SL3 ... both are under 400$

I was hoping to spend $250 or less. I'm not looking for another set that rivals the DT Swiss, just a good, solid wheel.
I have not read any neatives about the Campy or Easton wheels - so I'm just looking for some thoughts from anyone who might have used, ridden, seen or otherwise experienced either.

IMO,
in that price range...:)
You would be best off sticking to hand built Open Pros to your favorite hub.
I have Open Pros on 105.
It is what it is...
I'm more or less in the same boat as you.Wanting an wheel upgrade...:D
I'm gonna hold out and save....:o

i had two pair of easton vistas , both made horrible noise from the rear hub i was never able to get rid of. to me they're junk, and of the two i'd go campy in a hearbeat. for the price look at fulcrum 7's too. my wife had some and found them very decent.

Have you considered Neuvation M28s? Neuvation makes great wheels. I have a pair for my Felt F55 and a pair for my Felt F85. I believe that they are around what you're looking to pay. I'm a clydesdale at 6'3" 215 lbs and these wheels are great. They weigh in around 1750 grams and roll nicely. Go to roadbikereview.com and read all of the reviews on them. If these don't appeal to you, go with a nice set of Mavic Open Pros with a 105, Ultegra or Dura Ace hub. Open Pros are virtually bulletproof and are great by any measure. Now that I've said that, I think I'll order a pair this week with Ultegra hubs as another set of extra wheels. Nashbar and Performance bikes (same owners) sell them for under $250 with ultegra hubs I believe

I've got 2 pairs of $200 1500ish gram wheelsets and they are both quite nice. Xero XR-1 and Real Super Sphere. The Xero's are still available, the Real's I'm not sure. I got them at Nashbar a few weeks ago and they are gone now, though I seem to remember them on other sites. I think Real dumped them on the liquidators. My point is this is a great way to get a $500 (of course overpriced) set of wheels for significantly less. It's just a waiting and shopping game to see what pops up.
I thought about getting the Open Pro/Ultegras and they are a nice wheelset as I have an old pair and a set of Mavic Cosmos which are pretty similar. But the OPs are about 1900 grams and my steel bikes could afford to lose a pound. This is a cheap way.
Here are a couple:

I have an FSA RD400 wheelset that weighs in at 1560 grams that I'm selling for $225. They have some very light scratches on them but are in great shape.

Try to find Mavic Ksyrium Equipes on Ebay for $250......People are always buying a new bike then wanting to spend more money to upgrade to the Elites. The Equipes are great wheels and reasonably light. I Bought some for my second bike and ended up using them all of the time on my main ride.......

I was in the same boat as the OP. I picked up a pair of Reynold's Solitude. They are in the 1500 range and they were $289 on Ebay. I'm mounting them tonight. I will let you know how they ride. If you are interested, PM me.
I purchased my open pro's with ultegra hubs and i am very happy with them.

As I said I would: The solitudes are working out nicely. Roll nicely and seem faster.
