I use it to call my grandma in Canada for free!!! The sound quality is a little lower than desired though. There's a slight echo in the background, a burble of sorts. Kinda like you're talking underwater.

Danno-- I'm surprised. In my experience, the quality is great for skype-to-skype calls... my family is all skyped up, and we do crazy international conference calls fairly frequently. Occasionally the Chinese internet makes things go digitally, but it usually works pretty well.

I've been tempted to download Skype to my cellphone so I can use it when on a 802.11 network, but been too lazy.

Been using it for years. Awesome to be able to call my mom who moves all the time and my sister in New Zealand and see the kids on the webcam. Sure as hell beats paying 27 cents a minute to New Zealand or more. I even bought a skype-in number so I don't have to run a home phone. :)

My small company uses it and we use the conference call feature monthly. Very cool for being free (computer to computer).

Didn't work to well on my O2 XDA exec. Only could use speaker phone too.
