Howdy folks, I'm taking a poll on which day in June would best fit everyone's schedules. Similar route and schedule as the last one posted here: Tour de Santa B II - April 28th (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=277890). And the Ride-reports and pictures posted here (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=292602).
This time around, I would suggest a more leisurely pace with slower average-speed, but fewer rest-stops to wait up for everyone. The overall riding time should be only slightly longer by 20-30-minutes, but we can take the "shortcut" through Carpinteria ->Santa Barbara, so the actual times may be identical. Arriving later would let people hang out afterwards, grab some food and take the 7pm train home.
Anyway, here's the list of possible dates, let's see which day works out best for the most people and let's get this ride on the road! Other rides already planned:
June 9th - Tour de Cure
June 10th - LA River ride
June 16th
June 23rd - Grand Tour
June 30th

There are a couple possible rides scheduled for the 9th (Canyon Classic, Ride Around the Bear) and 23rd (Grand Tours). At this point, I'm not planning on doing them, but someone else may. But, let's get this done as I don't appear to have naything else scheduled in the way right now :) ! Yahoo!

Grand tour on the 23rd makes that (and the week prior) no-go for me. June 9th is possible.

June 9th is the day before the LA River Ride (June 10th), so most likely out for me. June 16th is not a possibility, as I may be out-o-town that weekend and it's the weekend before the GT. June 23rd and June 30th are out for me - Grand Tour and I'm out-o-town. So, in other words, plan the date that works for everyone and if can join, I will. Thanks for taking over this go around, Danno! :)

All dates are out for me ... Tour de Cure the 9th, 23rd is Grand tour ... and since I'm in town the 2nd, I don't want to make 3 trips for that month ... so by default, 16th and 30th is out ... maybe some other time.

 Funny man...you got jokes! Not ALL of my recovery rides are 70+. Besides, if we are in SB on the 9th and stay until 7pm (with a few margaritas in the mix), I will doubtfully need a recovery ride...more like a recovery drink. ;)

If I were still living in SoCal, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I am in as long as its not 97 degrees going up the 150 etc. Heat stops me dead in my tracks at this point. I need to adjust to summer weather again.
I did love that ride so I hope I can do it again.

I'll probably be doing something epic on the 23rd, so I voted 30th since I'll probably want to take an easy weekend and this should be just the ticket. I may ride out Friday and meet the ride at the start sat morning instead of trying to meet up partway...

So far it looks like 30-June is the clear leader. Gives us the most time to schedule all the other rides around it as well. I might actually be in shape to do the entire distance this time too. :)
As for the heat, that last ride was the 1st heat we had all year, so it was very draining. But with training, you actually get used to it, takes about 7-8 days, drink lot of water. Usual weather in S.B. is around 72-77 during the summer, so the last 30-miles should be plenty comfortable once we get out of Casitas.
