Post your name, description (you & your bike) and distance and I'll update the list.

There are links in from the Distance & Road Cycling forums that point to this thread as well.

65 Milers:

Charlie, 5'9''. Grey Colgate University shorts and white top. Perhaps yellow or blue jacket, depending on weather. Black Helmet. Gray Specialized Sirrus.

100 milers:

Ted, 6'1" uber clyde. Black bibs, white cotton cycling t-shirt, yellow helmet. Blue GT Edge Aero Road bike.

Avi: I'm 6' 3" 225lb. and will be wearing my BF jersey with a gray helmet and black shorts!!! I'll be riding a red Cannondale Cyclocross Disc. I'll be leaving from Babylon and doing 100 miles.

tankman: Im riding with Team in Training (TNT jersey). Red/wht specialized Allez. Red/wht bell helmet. Ride Safe.

Mark, pale(ish), mid 30s, prolly a red jersey (well, layers depending on weather). I'll be riding my Bianchi Volpe, black Brooks, rack 'n trunk bag. Prolly a lil' plastic piggy adorning my brifter cables... it's his job to smile until I've had my coffee.

Larry, 5'10" 210 lbs riding blue Specialized Roubaix, blue Trek Helmet, most likely wearing Metallica jersey.
100 miles from Babylon

Pat,: 6' 0", Dark Blue 1975 Windsor Pro, Black LG helmet, Purple jersey, big smile.

Heather (daughter): 5'7", Blue with Purple spirals down forks Basso, AIDs Lifecycle jersey, another big smile. See you all out there!

Stacy, 5' 3" female, riding a white Sirrus, grey helmet. Signed up for 100 miles. Not sure what I was thinking.

Nelson, 5' 10" 170# white 40 year old guy. Old maroon helmet. Black Mercier Corvus roadbike with a honey-colored B-17 seat and silver rack. Doing 100 miler. Fred clothes. Although I might wear the red NYSC 5bbr jersey. It's the only one I got! I'm worried it offers no sun protection... I might match it by the end of the ride!
Looking forward to it. See you in Babylon. Although I haven't gotten my packet yet.

Larry, 6'2", white, blue Giro helmet, Trek 5200 with Silver Reynolds wheels, TNT Jersey, riding the 100 from Babylon.

145 milers (+):

Daren. 5'11". Blue Specialized Tarmac. 145 miles. Will probably be wearing a blue jersey but that all depends on the weather.

Charlie, 5'7", Trek 1000, 145 miles, going to round out the slowpokes with Air.

Call me Xi. White (techically I'm yellow) chinese guy. Black&White jersey, gray bike with deep dark gray wheels. Doing the 145 miler but I guarantee you it'll end up being more like 160 the way they plan the ride out.

James, 5 11 skinny fella riding a black SCOTT cr1 with red wheels, and I might break out my white castelli kit for the first time. Also doing the 145, or, at least will at least try.

Steve, 6'1", white, silver helmet, silver Alan cross. 145 (I think I can, I think I can...)

Air (George) 6-1" white Clyde, blue helmet, black Nishiki Sport. Fred atire. Attempting the 145 route, but starting at the early checkin time.

Lucky07 (Mark) 6' white guy, White helmet, Jersey red or black, red jacket if it's raining. Red/white Allez Elite. Riding the 145 route.

Note: Special note for the 145-mile riders: There is no S.A.G. service west of Babylon. If you need to end your ride before you get to Babylon, you can take the NYC subway or the LIRR going back to the city. This is the only exception to the LIRR "no bikes on trains" rule. You can retrieve your baggage from our office at Hostelling International, Amsterdam Ave. and 103rd St., Manhattan (phone 212-932-2300 ext. 115) during our regular office hours 7-9 pm Thursdays.

Not riding this year. :( I'm still concerned about my knee on long rides plus the wife and I will probably be hiking anyway. We might do the "Montauk Ride" 100 in June.

Broke my toe a few days back, I will be wishing I was there... but I think I have to hold off at least until the June 2nd version of this.

Good luck!

If I can get my sorry a-- out of bed and out to Penn Station that early I'll be doing the 100 mile ride. If the weather's fair there will still be a 15% chance of a sleep in and forget it.

Gray Specialized Sirrus.

This is my first ride over 42 miles (I did the Five Borough Bike Tour), so I am doing the escorted 65 mile ride. Hopefully the guides will keep me from getting killed, and I might learn a few things. I bought my bike to commute to work, as I just got sick of the Subway, and I am enjoying it so much that I am finding ways to ride more and more.

Does anyone have a sample cue sheet from this ride? What route was ridden last year?

I want to see a map of the last years planned course. It will be different this year, but I'd like to know the general course before I have to ride it. This is my first time with this ride.

Thanks!
