General Cycling Discussion - Innovations Second Wind CO2/hand pump

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone have any good or bad to say about the Innovations Second Wind CO2 inflator/hand pump?

The advantage of this is that I can carry a couple CO2 cartridges, but if I run out of those, I'm still not totally stranded.

razzin frazzin pump..... I used to have one of those. I got multiple flats once. I tried the pump and it broke. It's made of cheap plastic and has a weak gasket. I ended up blowing all the CO2 I had, so when the next flat happened, I was boned :( That pump turned a decent ride (aside from the flats) into my worst ride ever. Nothing worse than walking 5 miles in road shoes pushing a bike with a flat. Lucky for me, a good Samaritan gave me a ride for the last 7, otherwise I would have had to walk the whole 12.
It's OK as a CO2 inflator, but REALLY crappy as a pump. You're probably better off getting some kind of frame pump. I got a Topeak road morph after my inflator incident and couldn't be happier with it.
