Hi everyone,

I am new to cycling and I am in the process of selecting a bike for recreational use. My plan is to ride on local streets, side walks, and paved trails in my area. I am considering a Trek 7200 or 7100. The price I was quoted at my local bike shop was $379 & $299 respectfully. I was able to take the 7200 for a test ride yesterday and like the ride and feel of the bike. I have not decide which to choose, are there other bikes I should be considering within this price range?

Thanks,

Tom

Hello Tom, I hope you have gotten your Trek 7100 back from the shop and have managed to get it out on the road by now :D . Learning how to do your own wrenching can be a lot of fun, not to mention time and money saving after you acquire the basic tools.

Welcome to BF!
