The LBS was having a bike swap/sale and she traded in her old Raleigh MTB (men's frame) for a rental (but in almost-new shape) Giant girlie comfort bike that looks like this:

I put a cyclocomputer, light, bell, and blinkie on it for her, then gave her a hard time for having such a girlie girl bike but it suits her. The old MTB was too big for her petite frame and the "boy bar" scared her too much.

She likes it. The seat is mounted on some sort of shock absorber that I had never seen before. Front suspension. We did about a 15 mile ride yesterday.

What would she say if you converted it to a fixie? BTW, that thing is screaming for a flowery handlebar basket.

+1000.... She said the same thing. Problem is, with the computer, light, and bell, I'm not sure how she'd attach it. We're keeping our eyes out for one though.

Fixie? :D  She'd probably divorce me or something. She likes her gears.

Zipties and hose clamps oughtta do the trick. She should also run streamers.

Zip ties. Good idea. Streamers! We hadn't thought of that one. I'll mention it. She wants a white wicker basket. :p
