My boss just got back from a weekend of mountain biking. She went over the bars twice and she's just bruised head to toe.

She knows I bike. (I'm actually just a bike commuter), so she asked me if their is any body armour to protect her arms and legs.

So I leave it to you, the serious mountain bikers. Is their anything a weekend warrior can do to keep her from being bruised and broken?

I'd suggest her look at Fox 991 leg and arm, Fox Extreme MX elbow pards, Fox MX Raptors, Dianese pads, Azonic DH elbow pads. There's also full body armor, but I think it's overkill unless she's a hardcore DHer.

I like the stuff from sixsixone! moderately priced and offers good protection.

Don't forget there is also full faced helmuts, probably bit overkill depending on riding she is doing though.

I have Roach Indy leg pads on order, they're 100 CAD which is like 70 USD, for those of you not down with the conversion factor. They are supposed to be indestructable and slip free. But thats kinda pricy if you dont ride several days every week. Also supposed to be hot.

It depends on how much protection she wants. Full body or just her extremities.

If she only want her arms and legs covered then 661, Fox, TroLee, Dianese and Roach all make good products.

If she would like full protection then I would recomend Rockgarden or Dianese. They both have equal protection but RG is easier on the wallet. RG also makes a very good pair of padded undershorts.
