Schipperkes are a very intelligent breed of dog. My understanding is that they are extremely resentful of perceived abandonment, so if you want to leave them outside while you step inside a store they'll need to be "reassured" you'll only be gone for a moment. That's something I was told of that breed many years ago and it stuck with me for some reason. That dog is an absolute cutie and will attract lots of attention!

Very cute puppy. Our English Cocker is like that - you would think you abandoned him for life. Now that he is a year old he is better - but he still stays very close most of the time if he can.
