I moved around within the valley. Briefly in 1970, then from 1974 through 1985, mostly around Van Nuys. I've been living in the city since.

I went to Linda Vista too!!! (for kindergarten) - then it was Don Benito for me (Bobcats represent!!! <-- is there such thing as elementary school pride?)

Then it was John Marshall :eek: for 6th grade - being a puny 6th grader with a cute little Vietnamese girlfriend subjected me to some harassment - got my tennis rackets stolen twice, locker broken into 4 times, etc. - crazy to look back at being at a school that goes 6-12th grades - my sister was a senior when I was there at a 6th grader. Tired of getting my *** kicked and wanting to move closer to where my sister was SUPPOSED to go to college (Claremont McKenna), my parents moved us to Covina (sister ended up going to USC instead).

Another St Johns product here. Spent my first year next to the Venice canals and then we packed up the family truckster for Thousand Oaks. Back then T.O. Blvd was known as Ventura Blvd and there wasn't a TOHS (my sister had to go to ACHS for a couple of years). Didn't fall too far from the tree as I now reside in Moorpark.
