Mountain Biking - A little reminder to buy leg armour

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Finally got my new bike. No pics yet; forgot to use the camera we actually packed  but this is a pic 20 minutes before I decided to go and protect my legs from becoming ground beef. Hucked off a set of stairs at the University and my foot slipped when I was stopping. The pedal came around and really ripped my leg good. Here is the "clean" version. :)

Another reason to go clipless!
Try that but on the other side of the leg, where the bone is. And still don't want to go clipless, I feel more comfortable having my legs "free". But leg armor is the way to go either way.

I did that on my friends pedal back in the 8th grade trying to do a front pogo! Yea, I know how that feels. Excuse me, my leg is tingling again...

CLIPLESSSSSSS
Clipless = less risk of falling, more damage when taking the fall.

anybody here ever have a set of those nasty black widow pedals? I have a dent, yes a dent in my shin from where the pedal caught me on several occasions.http://www.totalbmx.com.au/images/pedals/Odyssey_blackwidow_AApro.jpg
