Who's riding? We (wife and I) will be there. Our tandem will be part of the DATES lead out group with all stoker compartments vacant and stokers will be following behind on a singles.

*edit* sometimes I forget this subforum is all of Texas. I'm refering to the Dallas Ride of Silence.

I'll be there. Not sure if the wife is going to join me or not.

I'm going to try and get out of work early, so I can make it for the ride. I come south on the path from Royal, but usually turn off at Mockingbird to head across the lake.

Anybody know if the ride will be going clockwise or counter-clockwise, (in case I don't get there before it starts, I'll have an idea of which direction to start looking for the group).

Will need a little boss cooperation in order to make it work but am going to try. Thanks for the reminder Doggus.

damn, this is the first one in 3 years that I'm gonna miss. I'm committed to
teaching a divemaster class tonight.

I'm not sure how I feel about this ride. I appreciate what its trying to do and the spirit in which it was conceived, but it seems to spark a lot of animosity between cyclist and the people witnessing the event. All they see are a bunch of cyclist riding slow, in the way, and not speaking when spoken to. The year I rode it there were several incidents where things were thrown at cyclists on the ride ect...

Really? If this is supposed to raise awareness, shouldn't the riders respond with something along those lines?

Your description makes it sound more like a critical mass ride.

the one I attended was very uncomfortable at times - it just didn't feel right. It felt like it was generating animosity actually.
