"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Why can't I find a TT helmet in the USA

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Am I just not looking in the right places? BF and others seem to rate them high in terms of shaving off wind drag, but these are curiously precious items stateside. Forget the LBS. Even e-bay is low on stock.

Wassup wi dat??

Where exactly are you looking? A 5 min search of a few of the standard webshops gives the following in the US.

And if you want to go outside the box in the UK (shipping is only $10).

Thanks for the links. Maybe a premature b*tch on my part. Was hoping to find one locally to try on for size. Someone also suggested looking at triathlon gear shops. Still difficult to find much beyond L.Garneau, Limar and Giro.

Reser in Newport Kentucky has the LAS TT helmet in stock (unless it's been sold already)

I know of several in stock in shops around town here.... but it's not USA...

There's one shop in town that I walk by often that's got a really pretty Giro aero helmet right in the front window (next to two carbon Bontrager TT bar sets!) that just teases me every time I walk by.

my shop has a model made by rudy project. i haven't tried it on though, i think it's mostly for decoration.
