I posted this in the Road Racing Forum, but I wanted your advice as well

Hey everyone!

It has been quite a few years (12 + years) since I've had two races in one weekend and I'm a little worried about recovering between them. Saturday I have the Table Rock road race, which will be 50+ miles and about 3,300 ft of climbing and on Sunday I have a crit. I'm looking for any advice on how to best recover between the races, I'm guessing that methods have changed since I last used them. Thanks in advance!

What I do is within 10' after finishing, I drink a concoction of about 15g natural sugar, 5g creatine, 15g maltodextrin, and 25g whey protein, dissolved in 20 oz. water. Most people use Endurox, 200-300 cal. worth. Stretch sometime. Then I start munching bagels or other carbo, just a bit every 15 minutes or so, until it's time for a meal. Carbo meal with a good bit of protein, too. If I can, I get a half hour or hour nap before the meal. Before bed I'll probably have another 15g whey protein. Self massage or friend massage in there sometime, too.
