Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hello,
I commute on my bicycle to the train, and then have a 1 hour train ride, on which breakfast would be kinda nice. I was wondering what is easy to transport via bicycle, and good for a breakfast that doesnt take much silverware or bowls etc, but still is fairly healthy and good for an after ride meal.
I was thinking a thermos of soup?
other ideas?
Thanks.

PBJ? Burrito de jamon y queso (ham and cheese)? Banana? Bagel sandwich?
Soup doesn't sound very convenient, or at least for me desireable as a breakfast. Any kind of healthy sandwich, baggies of fruit or dry cereal, and granola/cereal bars come immediately to mind.
A small portion of pasta with sauce and pieces of pesto/chicken/cheese ect.
Any particular sandwich types you like.

I bring oatmeal to school, sometimes. I just microwave it at home in an empty salsa jar (glass, lid off) and it stays hot for about an hour. Rice is easy to make and then scoop into a jar, too, but that's not really breakfast food. :)

How long is your ride? Fried egg sammich...(fried hard) if you have a short ride it may still be warm (or use foil)...all the other suggestions sound perfect too.

How long is your ride?
Are you asking me?
I just walk to school (<0.5 miles). :)
The oatmeal is pretty hot, so I wouldn't recommend sticking the jar in the back of your jersey or anything. :D
