Hi all, would love your ideas for what route we should take to Munich. We will be leaving Cortina d'Ampezzo (eastern Italy, high in the Alps) in late June and have to arrive in Munich by early August. Our initial idea was to go through Slovenia, then turn north maybe to Budapest, where we would pick up the Danube cycle path to take us back through Austria and part of Germany before we go to Munich.
Does anyone have a suggestion or thoughts about this route? Maybe you can think of a better one? We were leaning towards at least part of the time in eastern Europe just to keep costs down a bit.
