its not really a competition, its more of a way to become faster at time trialing. the guy who does it has a laptop and measures your time over the course of the year to track your progress.

i dont see why you'd be upstaging roadies since they are probably faster than you are anyway

also its on west river drive since its closed.

Upstaging roadies? Nah. I doubt it. Faster than me? Sure. Lots of people are faster than me.
Should still be fun, though.

its a good time. its actually a lot of work on fixed because you cant get aero as much if you had hoods or levers

If I didn't have a wedding to go to, I'd like to try this. Only I would do it on my fully loaded touring bike, ha!

they do it every saturday they usually start in early april when they close west river drive

Do you need to commit to it, or can you just show up? Does it cost anything?
