How the heck does everyone get to spend so much time here, especially during office hours? You'd figure it would be pretty slow here during office hours, but I found it's been pretty active. I can't believe everyone is playing hookey.
So I'll start. I work in Customer Support as a Tech Support Engineer in networking. How am I able to spend so much time here then? Waiting on hold, or participating in long conference calls, and getting no work done at all.

I am a Lutheran pastor.
I cannot answer this question because I will duplicate Frank's answer... but I am in Aliso Viejo and everyone has WiFi which makes it easy for me to get an internet connection while standing on the side of the freeway.
Own a waterproofing company. Also install decorative coatings i.e. Epoxy floors(garage/warehouse), pool decks, tennis/basketball courts(interior/exterior), concrete staining, and more.
I'm a Director of Technology for a film and TV studio. I agree with spingineer! How do some of you find the time to post, work, post, ride, post, ride more, post, did I mention ride? :p

I'm a middle school teacher. This week we're doing testing. My group of kids is great, so I have 90-mins of "supervision" while they're taking the tests. Regular teaching schedule allows me to check online during homeroom (20-mins), nutrition (20-mins), and lunch (30-mins).
I soak in the sun and make oxygen for you all to breathe. And then end up in your mouth to feed you. What else is a Napa cabbage supposed to do?

I'm a software consultant. I work from home and basically do zero work most of the time - just wait for the phone to ring or watch for E-mails. Leaves plenty of time for wasting time...

Programmer by day. Occasional woodworker by night -- though biking has really cut into that. I flip back and forth between BikeForums and programs, watching what they do as they merrily run along....

I'm a stay at home dad with two boys which is a full time job. I also work from home for a friend who opened a Rapid Refill Ink store in Fullerton, I do most of the purchasing and vendor relations. We are opening two more stores in the OC so I will be very busy doing the build out for those as well.
If you need ink or toner PM me and I will get you a BF deal.
I work for an insurance company - I handle intellectual property litigation (you know stuff involving copyright, trademark etc) primarily involving the entertainment industry. Right now I have about 40 claims generated from the Borat movie. For some reason people are upset that their likeness was used without authorization. Imagine that? It was such a wonderful movie too... NOT!!! (if you saw the movie you will get that). About 75% of my inventiory is entertainment the rest is general corporate IP.
Anyway on the computer from morning til night. Just sometimes have to take a mindless break and check out BF.net.
I generally ride on the weekends but have been making time for a climbing class on Tuesday nights. Otherwise I'm up and in the gym for a 5:45am spin class. I have to check out websites during the day to stay awake!!!

DB administrator/PHP coder. This year I'm pretty focused on installing an MRP/ERP solution for our company.
I also do network administration and technical support. Small company, and there's only two of us in I.T. My actual title is "Database Administrator."
I design those big play structures, for kids, that you see at schools and parks. Since it's all done on AutoCad, Photoshop, and Powerpoint, I'm staring at the computer screen all day anyway, so I take little breaks throughout the day in between projects to see what's going on. Some days BF gets more attention than others.:D
I'm the cad guy.

Unfortunately these are grown people that make these decisions. It always surprises me to see parents making their children wear helmets on rides but THEY don't have one on. Last year while snowboarding up at Mammoth with a group from LA one guy refused to wear a helmet. We asked him several times but he's an old school skier and although he skiis well that doesn't compensate for others skiing poorly and just plain ole mistakes. Anyhow it was low visibility that afternoon and he didn't see the rock....A few tumbles and he was gone. It doesn't take much. Just that fast his wife is a widow and his 3 kids have no father....all for vanity.
I'm a certified biomedical equipment technician for a rather large medical center. My day job certainly gets in the way of riding. Oh, ...excuse me, gotta get back to work.

I know other stories like that above. Shocks me all the time when I see riders sans helmets. It's like smoking to me. When I see a smoker, I think, "Dumbass." Same reaction when I see the heads without helmets. It's a no-brainer.

Maybe I'm reading that other thread wrong, but it seems like the guy is claiming it's more dangerous to ride with a helmet than without. Go figure.
