I will be staying downtown, sat through wed night's red eye back to philly, and I am debating bringing my bike vs. renting one out there. I have time wed, and would love to do a long ride out of the city and back. Any recommendations on bike shops to rent from, or should i just bring mine out? Thanks.

Here's a place (http://www.baycitybike.com/bikes_and_rates.htm) that rents OCRs. They're located in the Fisherman's Wharf area, which means they're pretty near Golden Gate Bridge and all the best local rides in Marin.

If you are not familiar with SF, you can rent the bike and ride over the Goldengate Bridge to Marin or take a ferry right from Fisherman's Wharf.
