Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - converting 120mm rear to 135? Possible?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I've ogt a set of track wheels that I'd love to run on an old mtb frame as a fixie. Does anyon make the parts necessary to give me 135mm of rear spacing? What about 130?

yeah, you just need to replace the axle and use some spacers to fit the longer axle snug into the stays. your LBS should know about this, if they are smart enough.
i have a track hub (with original 120mm spacing) in a 130mm frame.

You just need 7.5mm more spacers on each side, you might need a wider axle but most track axles are wide enough to handle the extra width and still fit the retaining nuts fully on the axle.
Take the lock nut off each side, install the spacers and readjust the cones.
You may also need to do some spacer shifting to get a good chain line.

Are you sure a 700c track wheel will fit in an mtb frame????
The seat and chain stay bridge may limit the wheel.
