It got flagged. What was it about?
It got flagged. What was it about?
Hmmm, a mystery! I emailed the posting from work to home, and when I got home found out it had been flagged, but could still open it in my email (weird). Anyway, I called the number and the guy sounded surprised that it was flagged but said the auction was still on. If you can't open it, here's my cut-and-paste of the posting (with pics):
Dozens, (perhaps hundreds), of bicycles and bicycle parts of numerous
brands! Used, contemporary and vintage bikes, new and used parts and
accessories - many still in original boxes. New wheels, tires and
tubes. There is an enormous quantity of TOOLS! Repair books, office
equipment, some small furniture and TV sets. The photos show only a
fraction of the bike inventory. The interior photos provided show
PART of one room. A back room and basement are also full. Sunday, May
20 at 10:00 AM. Preview at 9:00. 2310 Main St., Vancouver, Wa. 98660.
For info call (360) 693-3410. Directions: Ten minutes from downtown
Portland. Take I-5 North over Interstate bridge to 4th Plain exit.
Left on to 4th Plain. Go three traffic lights to Main St. Go left on
Main. Go two blocks (south) to 24th and Main.
Maybe flagged because it's business-related? Or maybe someone wants all the good stuff and doesn't want to share? Or maybe (conspiracy theory ahead) it's Matthew-related. I also noticed there were a few "vintage" bikes posted on CL with inflated prices and Vancouver Phone #'s with seller's name "Matthew. Not the same phone # as auction, but at least one bike looked like one from the auction. Now I have had no contact with the guy, and want to keep my postings flame-free, and I know it's a common name and could very well be a coincidence, but a lot of folks seem to have a problem with the guy and he gets flagged regularly. If there is a connection, it makes the whole thing fishy. A couple questions I have: Is everything in the pictures actually going to be on auction (I need tools!) and if anyone lives or goes through Vancouver, could you check this address and report back to this post? Thanks.
