Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - eBay best way to sell high end track bike?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I dont ride my track bike much (velodrome's too far), so I'd like to sell it. Its a 2003 Orbea Altec track frame built nicely and in the beautiful Euskatel colors. I'd like to see $750 for the frame and fork (it retails for $1200, and I've ridden it once), but I've not seen any high end track stuff on eBay.
Is there a market for this kind of stuff?
I'd let the whole bike go for $1,200.
its a 60cm.

I found the key to getting nice high bids on Ebay, besides having a good track record, are a thorough description and NICE photos including close-ups of the item you're selling. I've sold a Santana tandem, Cannondale MTB, an Ibis Scorcher, and countless number of components on Ebay.

Based on the prices I have seen for scratchbuilt fixies, I would say you can make your money on ebay, the other thing is to wait until fixed season. In the fall more guys are looking for winter training bikes.
Its up.

I have been looking to try a track bike and it is my size.
I am sure it is a great deal but it is out of my price range.
Thanks for the eye candy though!!!!
I've not seen any high end track stuff on eBay.
I disagree. I have been looking at track stuff on ebay and have seen some sweet rides!
Good luck and I hope you get what you want out of it.

That is a great looking bike! I hope you get your money out of it. I wish I had a velodrome localy, I could really get into that type of riding / racing.
Thanks for the compliments, guys. The bike is stunning in person. the paint is amazing (as I said, there are no decals on the frame - that's all paint).
When this bike is sold, I'll build something new and just as cool.
That is a beautiful bike! You will probably atlest get close to what you are looking for it. I've seen a few orbea track bikes on their and they go quite high. If you don't you're other option is to strip it down and sell all the components seperately.
I was thinking about stipping it down, but nah. This is a killer deal for someone who wants a high-end track bike and doesn't want to hunt down top quality track-specific parts.
