Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. What sort of value or asking price would you think is reasonable to sell a 1973 Schwinn Varsity in excellent shape? Tires may need to be replaced, but great working order otherwise.

There is a Schwinn Suburban from that era, and one that's a little older at my local thrift store. 4 bucks a piece. Both in good shape.

12 pack of olympia
I sold a pair of them for $50, but one of them was seriously nice. It was nice enough for a collector, if anyone actually collects Varsities. If you haven't done more than pick one up, don't knock 'em. They might be super heavy but they have a solid feel and ride like tanks. They're kinda like a heavy hardtail mountain bike with skinny tires and a more road oriented riding position/handleing. I sorta like em.

I had converted my 73 Varsity to a flip flop, with straight bars, new brakes, and cyclocross tires. I got $225 for it. =)

I bought a '71 for $40 in decent shape a couple months ago. Dutret will tell you it's a worthless piece of trash. I'm sure you could get $40 or $50 for it.
