Foo - Another new bike....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know, I just did this last week. Well after riding that bike for about 600 miles I decided that I wasn't really all that happy with it. I wanted more power and a better handling. Better looks would be alright as well. :D
Well I went back to the shop and basicly lost my butt on the trade but I got something that I believe I will be happy with. I went with a 2007 Ninja 600. This thing is awesome!
On the way home I took it pretty easy except for one quick little burst. I shifted up to third at about 70 mph. Next thing I knew the front wheel was up and it was just going. It was at that moment that I fell in love with a machine. :D

It's a different color than the other one. I hope you got some new matching leathers and a matching helmet!
;)
Looks good, LowCel.
black is not a color it is a shade. this is the only one that is a color.:D

Someday I'd love to learn to ride a motorcycle, and pick up a nice '76-78 Suzuki GS400:

It's too bad the standard is a nearly-dead breed these days. Pretty much everything is either a sport bike like LowCel's, or a cruiser like the one Mich posted.
Triumph makes three standards. The Bonneville, Thruxton, and Scrambler.
Honda Rebel (http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/cruiser_standard/model.asp?ModelName=Rebel&ModelYear=2007&ModelId=CMX250C7) is basically a standard.
As is the Nighthawk

I know nothing about these kinds of bikes. My friend recently got some sort of 400cc bike and it goes pretty quick for a 17 year old
I don't know why I'm surprised by it, but it always strikes me that a lot of cyclists also own donorcycles. Guess I wouldn't expect it for some reason.

The nice thing about BMWs. Here in Texas, you have the two motorcycle camps... the Harley riders, and the Japanese riders. Both sometimes come to blows, or resort to trashing each other's bikes in parking lots. Thankfully, BMWs are considered neutral, and you are almost assured that you won't come back to your bike on its side after eating at some rural eatery.

I had Honda 750 while living overseas - to travel Germany, Austria and France with my wife.
Now I like this one:

Here ya go, reflectors are gone, mud flap is gone, factory exhaust is gone and replaced with carbon. Lost about 12 - 15 pounds on it so far. Oh, waxed it as well. :D

Make sure you wear a real padded riding jacket, pants, boots, and a helmet. If not, please be an organ donor.

I'm wearing a Joe Rocket jacket, Joe Rocket helmet, and Zero to 60 gloves. I am wearing leather work boots but need to get some Sidi's. Also still need to pick up some pants.
For what its worth though, I am an organ donor. If nothing else someone will get some very strong lungs and a strong heart to boot.

you're having too much fun with this mean machine! you're never on here anymore! :(
That actually has more to do with work and trying to spend time with my family than it does with the new toy. My riding and training is really suffering but I am getting a lot done and my wife and I are getting along great. I'm spending a lot of time with my parents as well.

I have a bike I really want to get. It's a cruiser. I already have a helmet and I know what jacket I want. It's just a matter of taking the plunge and getting a bike.
I've owned three cruisers, a Honda Shadow 600, a Shadow 1100, and a Yamaha Road Star Warrior 1700. All of them were nice bikes but believe it or not I am more comfortable on the crotch rocket. I don't know if it is due to being so used to leaning over on bikes or not. Could have something to do with it though.
Dood i bet u culd pwn wit taht at teh next time trial!!!1
