Mountain Biking - What's wrong with Cambria?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just got the July edition of "Bicycling" magazine (yes, I know they suck) and in the back there is a coupon code from Cambria offering free shipping that expired on March 1, 2007. This same outdated ad was also in the last two editions I got in the mail.
Doesn't sound like a Cambria problem, sounds more like a problem with Rodale (publishers of Bicycling) not putting the right ad in

Potentially an issue with whatever marketting firm/person they are using to.
Hold cambria to it, I believe they have to adhere to any advertised price regardless of mistake.

I shop at Cambria all the time, excellent service. I don't know about this... that ad has been there for a few months after the 1-Mar-07 expiration.

Wasn't there Jenson and Cambria threads in the BF coupon forums a while ago??

I've ordered from Cambria twice. Great shop. EXCELLENT bargain bin!!! I only regret that I didn't buy more $8 chain-rings and $2 spoke wrenches.

They suck? Every order I've ever done with them (about a half dozen in the last ten years or so) has been completely screwed up in soem way or another.
Oh, the coupon thing. Yeah, that's more the publisher at fault.

I just bought some stuff from CBO. Not only did they match prices of about 4 differant goods I found on other sights, but they price smashed a SRAM 980 11-32t cassette I got for $40.
So far, everything I've gotten from them has been a good deal, and with prompt efficient service.

No, no, no, they do not suck. I use them all of the time but this outdated ad keeps running and I wonder what the deal with that.
Nobody ships faster and they price match happily.

(SHRUG) What can I say? In my experience with them, noted above, they suck.

Nothing is worse than waiting for some important part that you can't ride without...

I have had only positive experiences with CBO. I visited their location in Santa Rosa and had an awesome experience there as well. The staff was very knowledgeable and even did some searches on the internet for me to find some price matches. They also have a fridge full of beer for their customers to drink while they shop. AWESOME!
I'd make them my shop if I didn't live an hour and a half from them.
I did get a grumpy rep on the phone once, but my package arrived next day without any errors!

CBO's phone reps seem pretty good. Has anyone had a good experience with other phone reps (Jenson, Nashbar, etc.)?
