Hey all, first post here and hoping for a little help.
I've found a great deal on a Redline Conquest and I'm just wondering about the sizing. I've read a ton on here regarding the Redline sizing and how I should go down a size for a Redline bike.
The Redline conquest I'm ordering is coming from out of town, so I don't have a chance to actually size myself on it.
I'm 6'1 with a 32" inseam to the floor.
One store in my city measured me on his measuring device and said he'd put me on a 57cm Rocky Mountain...he figured that was about right.
Another store put me on a 56 Kona and said that would be fine as well.
The Redline Conquest I'm looking to purchase is a 56. Being that I've read that Redlines fit bigger, I'm assuming that the 56 is probably more close to a 57 or 58?
Being that the 56 Kona and 57 Rocky Mountain were fine, do you think that the 56 Redline would be fine as well? I'm looking to use it more as a commuter with the odd off road trails. I hail from Northwestern Ontario Canada and our roads are absolute crap because of the frost heaves. A cyclocross bike is abslutely perfect for our terrain and trails up here.
Would the 56 Redline sound about right?
