Hello fellow FG riders: Does anyone know what tool is used for the removal of a DA high flange track hub lockring? I have a Park tool which fits my Phil Wood lockring on my clincher wheelset but it has 4 prongs whereas the DA lockring has only 2 slots 180 degrees apart.
My old knees are complaining about the 75 gear inches for my hilly terrain and I have decide to switch to 70.
Thanks.
Gerry

Thanks! Yet another tool to buy. Oh well I need a 1/8" chain whip anyway.
These FG bikes are making me buy a lot more stuff.:D

you can use the park bb lockring tool, just use the 3 prong side with one prong engaged. works fine.

no way jose! My "little hook thing" it great, and you get tons of leverage. Haven't tried the pliers but I am going to put them down anyways.

pliers give you no power and bend easy as funk.

I hear you can mod c-type vise grips to replicate hozan lockring pliers at a fraciton of the cost. It has been discussed on these forums, a search will find it.
