I just bought a 07' Jake the Snake. I am quite happy with the bike. However, I got absolutely NOTHING from the bike shop. I understand that I should have a manual at the very least. I didn't get cleats with my clipless pedals... I should have paid more attention instead of be too overjoyed with my purchase...

I am sure they would give me the stuff if I go back. Before I do, I am just wondering what should I normally get with a Kona Jake the Snake other than the manual? Any hardwares? Reflectors? Thanks.

I got warranty booklet, stock pedals in a bag and touch-up paint.

I had to make a point of asking my shop for the cleats and manual for my '06 Kona. I didn't get touch-up paint though. :(

I also got a headache going back to the shop several times to get the bike prepped properly :)

I wonder if they simply forget to give us the cleats... I went back today and got the cleats and the manual.

The other bike shop I went to had wheel and seat post reflectors on their JtS... I wonder if it was shipped with those reflectors originally...

I just got word from the Kona tech... here is the list of what you should get:
Paint, cleats, reflectors, Kona owners manual, Shimano foldouts for the pedals, and rear derailleur.

Noob question... What are foldouts for the pedals?

I am going to head back to get my reflectors... I am a little ticked off now. The bike shop should let the buyers decide what they want to keep instead of holding on to these parts.

I think, in some states at least, its illegal for a shop to sell you a bike without reflectors.

I walked my 2006 jake out of the shop with a 2005 manual and reflectors. Of course the shop I bought it from sucks.

Ditto here...they should come with reflectors and a bell, but most higher end bikes get sold "sterile".
