Wow! I watched that movie, "The Hard Road" last night and was totally amazed at all the sacrifice that goes into being a professional racer. It was a kickin' flick that covers the 2001 season of NetZero's squad. It was pretty cool to see how chasing the dream of being a pro impacted thier lives - no money, no social life, no family time, etc. With just a handful of pro teams in the US and not a lot of spots to fill, these guys are in a class all themselves. I got a whole new respect for those guys! The race footage is killer, too, in this movie. Lots of video from many of the national calendar events here in the US. Too bad the team didn't make it past the one season, but I noticed most of the guys found homes elsewhere.
