Bicycle Mechanics - Not really tech, but I don't know where to put it...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I bought a water bottle to go on my bike, but my bike doesn't have pre-drilled holes to mount a bottle cage. The cage came with these 2 flimsy metal pieces and 2 nuts and bolts.
How do I mount it, do I have to drill holes?
BTW, My bike is a Supercycle Hooligan (Don't laugh, I didn't buy it for real mountain biking, just as a way to get around and lose some weight. ;) )

You use the two flimsy metal pieces and screws like you would use a hose clamp. It looks kind of like the Zefal picture above when put together with a bottle cage. If the clamps you got do not reach around the down tube then you will need to use someting like the seat mount pictured or a handlebar mount(ask at a shop for a handlebar mount for a bottle cage) You can also go with a CamelBak or similar. More water and a place for your other stuff.

I tried that, but the pieces don't fit around the bar.
I'm going to go to a bike shop here, and look at those Zefal Gizmo Clamps.
Thanks for the help guys :D

Go to AutoZone and buy a pair of hose clamps that will fit your bike tubeing.

Or go to wal-mart (or similar) and buy some velcro strips from the craft section, and make your own Zefal-alike. But the hose clamps will be easier to make permanent.
