Hi forum members.
I'm just back from touring the part of the North Sea route from Northern Holland to Belgium. You can find my journal with lots of pictures here (http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/NorthSeaRoute). I stealth camped about half the time, so the journal has some hints about stealthing in that part of the world.

I'm amazingly jealous!:p
I think you should give up on this childish business of stealth camping, and just focus on finding people who own their own brew pubs. I would probably have to live five lifetimes to fall on my feet like that.

My thoughts exactly. I wonder if it would be possible to bike from brew pub to brew pub and forget about camping, hostels, hotels, etc.?

Well actually, I've already done that in England several years ago. I advise biking in the morning, sampling in the afternoon (near the campsite).

You jammy git, you really lucked out - you seem to have been here during those April weeks of heavenly, oh so heavenly sunny lovely weather.
Glad you enjoyed it.
(and nice to be reassured I'm not the only one who thinks Dutch beer is piss)
I'm damn jealous too. It rained all last week during my trip. Grrrrr!!!!!!!!

I never quite that 'out there' to say that, but they lacks the variety of the Belgian beers. And before my distractors comment, let me say that I find many Belgian beers quite unusual and some the the Lambics I don't really care for, but I have to give then the 'tip of the helmet' for originality and variety.

I remember sitting in an outdoor restaurant in the Dwingelderveld National park and asking the waiter what brands of beer they offered.
"We have Heineken", he replied
"Anything else?"
"Whats wrong with heineken? Its good beer."
"I just wondered if you had any other beers?"
Turns out they had a decent selection and I had a nice Belgian ale, can't recall the name.
Maybe a beer trip in Belgium would be worthwhile?
