Yeah, but the stage 4 crit's only 30 minutes. :)

Actually, the distance and climbing isn't worrying me. This is...scenes from a couple of weeks ago:

Couple of years ago they had snow at the Tour De Nez. I was riding motor support and watched over half the field abandon the road race. Gord Fraser didn't even make it up the first climb.

How much time before Casey gives you a forced upgrade? :D

Schweet, that will be truly epic. For some strange reason that would make me more likley to go just to show that this is a tough mans/womans sport. the downhill might suck though.

You really want me to have to race the AMD and Amgen boys up there, don't you?

I wish! Perhaps next year. I had a couple of buddies do it and they were raving about the courses and the organisation.

There's a guy I kind of know (as in I rode with him once or twice over the winter) that will be in the NW US for vacation, so he signed up to ride the Masters while he's there.

I'll be curious to see how he does.

There's still spots open in the 3's. (some folks bailed)

Me=not climber so I won't be going. I'll go to cheer and get some interviews but that's about it.

I'm not a climber either, but I'm also not smart enough to let that stop me.

I'll be doing the 3s.

Right now the weather forecast is pretty good for that whole weekend. There is plenty of time for that to change, however.

I'm looking forward to meeting and racing against you Vino.

Good luck guys! I'd like to see how my fitness comeback would work out for me on some mountains, but I'm never going to be a pure climber :o

I'll be hitting CO in July sometime, so I may try to dig up a race there.

Holy crap! That picture is freaking perfect. If not for copyright issues, that'd be a kickass logo for a Masters team

My team leader is doing it as a 2. He's in for some climbing fun! Me? Well, I'm 6'3", not so good climber even though I'm down to 180 this year. I won't even try the Silverton Road Race as I'm a wuss and won't even suffer for 1 day.... ha

Just worked up the courage and signed up right before the deadline, Cat 4. Only 3 stages for the 4's, so not nearly as brutal as the 3's and up. I will probably get spanked pretty hard, but what the hell, you only live once.

Awww... c'mon. Silverton will be fun!
