I just started bikin and whenever i jump off stair or ledges i get flats. Is there anyway to stop this from happening. Because i cant afford gettin new tubes every day. Im not sure which tubes i buy everytime but i always try to buy different ones to see if it would help but it never does.

Could be a number of things. Too much air pressure, not enough, spoke poking through, something in your tire, or the lack of experience on a bike. Easy fix - stop jumping off ledges and stairs.

Thats really weird. sounds almost like a spoke or something is popping it.

If you don't have a rim strip (something inbetween where the tube and tire meet the rim then get some electrical tape or duct tape and tape the inside of the rim. Also check the inside of your tire for sharp crap. Your rim as well. And put at least 60-70 psi in your tires, if not more.

Thx ill check my tires for any sharp things and ill try the duck tape.

if you don't absorb the landing, your tires will bottom out and then pinch flat.

After you've done all that, line your tires with talcum powder, and you'll be pretty unlikely to see the problem this often again.

Just keep riding. You will stop popping tubes so frequently. After that, get some new tires with a higher PSI rating.

Use patches on tubes, don't just always buy new tubes

I think its the same as putting powder in there just keeps it from sticking and get pinched and poped.

Yeah, it stops the glue from the patch sticking to the tire

i tried them for ever ago and it didnt work right so i havent tried one since. i just buy new tubes since i noramlly pop the tube when the tire is really worn out so the tube is the cheapest part.

Meh, i can patch well if i want. But it's just soooooo much easier to throw on a new tube. Especially since i usually have at least 4 sitting at home.

My tube that I had in for a couple months exploded last week, it sucked. But I went into the bike shop to get a new one, and there's this hot girl that works there now so it was all good. Although the new one popped the first day that I had it when I did a footjam...

There's probably some crap in the tire that I have to clean out. Although I might just buy a new GLH next week, along with a tube, and I can talk to her some more. heh
