Well after losing a bit of weight I have decided to start commuting to work via bike. I just purchased my first bike since I sold my Trek 7000 MTB back in 2001. I purchased a Giant FCR1 for my 17 mile RT commute. The bike should be arriving this Thursday so I'll start my commute hopefully on Friday.
What accessories should a commuter always have? Below is the list of items I think I will need. Can you all please give a newb some help on which accessories I should or should not purchase?
-Safety Taillight (I'll save the front light purchase for later when the short days come back)
-Water bottle & Cage
-Computer w/ cadence
-Helmet
-Topeak rack & Bag w/ expandable panniers
-Flat Kit
-Mini Pump
-Saddle Bag
