First of all, thank you to all who responded to my "Loyalty To LBS" post of several weeks ago. The delema was, there was a bike at shop A (Not my reguler bike shop) that I really liked but it was a brand that shop B (My favorite bike shop) did not carry. So....as several of you fine folks advised me to do, I went to shop B and explained the situation. Shop A has a bike in the Trek pilot series that I really liked. What do you offer that would be similar? Sequoia! Problem solved! I picked up my new bike Friday after work and I'm loving it.
Thanks again for your advice.

Those are very similar bikes. I can easily see how one could substitute one for the other. Glad to hear that things worked out for you.

The Sequoia is a nice bike. In fact, if you paint in another color and put TREK down the side it would look just like my Trek 1800C:)

I'm glad to see your LBS was able to solve your problem. I've had such great service from my LBS that I don't even consider going elsewhere to buy bikes or have them serviced. It's a three generation shop and they're very knowledgeable and customer oriented.
