You suck. The Simpsons should have stopped before episode 300, now that you have done 400 it sucks, stop trying. You are past your prime and have been phased out.

But they have to keep going - to pass Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds.

Pretty sad watching this go down the tubes the past 6-7 years. This used to be one of the few TV shows I enjoyed. Well, still have a few of the good seasons on DVD...

i used to watch it every sunday, would never miss it... But since about season 9 or 10, it's been brutal.

Well, I still like them. I think they have had to up the whackiness to keep up with family guy, and its not hurting my feelings.
Ever since when I was in 6th grade (2001-2002) I haven't watched it much anymore. Southpark has been consistently done well over the years.
I dunno. I've watched the show since it began and I think its still a very good show. I like how bizzare the episodes are now. And come on, you gotta give them credit. Imagine how hard it is to come up with new plots after 18 years. I guess I'm just a die hard fan of the Simpsons. I just hope the movie doesn't suck.

He's run out of ideas, tonight was just a half hour of filler that could have been summed up in a few minutes.

Well first off The Simpsons has lots of writers right? So you can't really say that Groening has run out of ideas. I agree it's old hat now but I still see an occasional good joke or two. I didn't see it last night but have it recorded. I guess it was a pretty bad one huh? They have been using the stall technique in a lot of episodes.

Yep, it's sucked ass since about 2000 I would reckon. Does anyone find themselves watching an episode of the Simpsons now and realize after it that you haven't actually laughed AT ALL? Like at best, maybe a chuckle?
It's just so so not funny. The writing and comedy reminds me of a bunch of tools that I had on my paper one year at university. Very "we're so funny" self-congratulatory half-assed immature joke writing.
I dread the day that South Park goes downhill like that. I hope they have the sense to pack it in before it gets stale. I am at least glad that it's still good after 10 seasons.
And to think they stopped Futurama while the Simpsons is still going after years of shiyte quality. Go figure.

I noticed a distinct shift in writing style some years ago. The only way the Simpsons movie isn't going to suck is if Groening had the sense to go back and hire the old writing team.
If they made it with the current writing team it's gonna be a stinkfest.
They make the plots more bizarre to overcome the lack of writing skill.

I still enjoy it.
Family guy, American dad, and Southpark.... I can watch Family Guy, can't stand the others.

How about you ATTN this to the proper folks: FOX network.
Groening doesn't write, direct, or produce episodes. He just laughs all the way to the bank with Sam Simon and James L. Brooks, as the creators of the series.

Some shows just know when to throw in the towel. Seinfeld went out on high note, which was even a theme on of one of the episodes. Its obvious that they're just trying to milk every cent out of The Simpsons.

I disagree. The last two seasons of Seinfeld were not even close to the quality of the previous seven.
