I've got a lot of grit in my chain. How would y'all recommend cleaning it out? Any special de-greasers/tools you recommend? Thanks!

I would say remove it, get an old pan (wich you could use for this puspose again in the future) , use some gunk degreaser and clean it with a toothbrush. Then, wipe it good and let it dry. It should be shinny!
OR! yu can buy hte PARK TOOL chain cleaner. It's kind of like a car wash...for bike chains. GO see on parktool.com

Simple Green full strength in a chain machine. Or, if you prefer removing the chain, Simple Green full strength in a jar.
Rinse well after cleaning, dry off and lube well.
While your at it, don't forget to clean the chainwheel, cassette, and jockey wheels.

I've used a chain a Finish Line chain machine in the past. I've found that Park Chainbrite works the best for me. Just cycle it through the cleaner for a little while, rinse it down, dry it off, and relube, all while the chain is on the bike. I now have a SRAM chain and me cleaner finally died so I now remove the chain using the Powerlink (very nice) and clean it off the bike by hand.
Don't forget to clean the derailleur pulleys now and then also. Removing them and cleaning.relubing the rollers is very easy - just make sure you keep track of where each pulley came from and put it back in the same place.
