Mountain - Plains - anybody ide the Loveland CCBT on Sunday?

i was involved with the ride on the support end, so i'm curious what people thought.

i didnt ride and i didnt get to chat with any riders so i'd love to get fedback from anyone who was there.

i know we've made big strides in organization over the past few years, so now i'm curious what else needs to be improved. how was the organization, the directions, the route, the support, the food... everything. if you give me thoughts i can take them back to the organizers and work on improving the ride for next year.

I rode the CCBT 62-miler yesterday with my dad who was more experienced in these sorts of community rides. We thought the support was great overall. One thing we could have used was the ability to purchase some basic things like tubes and cannisters or simple parts at the relief stations, as we had a rash of flats on the route. Some great serveice came from the Perfect Circle Cycles truck and the Biek Patrol folks along the way though. So overall, it was a lot of fun and a very good ride. We certainly will do it again.

I went for my Sunday ride along Shields and I must have joined in on the group ride on accident. I got a flat from a piece of glass between Ft. Collins and Loveland and was passed by about 10 groups of riders, most of which slowed down and asked if I needed help or had everything I needed to get back on the road. At the time I just thought to myself "what a friendly group of riders". Where do I get info on local group rides like this? I would have signed up had I known about it.

I think I passed by this group at Edora Park. Did the route head that way? Ditto on the group rides. I might be interested, although the Summer is quickly getting booked.
