Foo - Just got my Road ID tag. It's pretty cool!

Nice stainless steel, I have my contacts, blood type amd limited med info (Diabetic, bariatric patient) on it.
Since I'm known to get out in the boonies, I figured it might be better.....:p
It is a good precaution if you are in the boonies. Tom, you take care of yourself! If anything happened to you this place would not be the same.

Necklace type. It's more or less like a military dog tag, but a lot nicer in polished stainless instead of stamped aluminum. I have a cyclist engraved on the back side as well. It's also available in gold.:D
Where did you get it from? Not a bad idea - a cab would do a job on the ole recognition thing...

I carry an expired driver's license when I ride my bike.
I've actually been thinking of getting one myself. I think its important. For right now I carry my dr.license and insurance card. :)

I just got mine last week. I got the ankle band. I was skeptical about the comfort, but it's true-- you really can't feel it at all!
You're hardcore, Tom. I don't think I could stand something around my neck while I'm riding.
I should be wearing something like this or a MedicAlert, but the problem is that I don't wear bracelets or necklaces, and I don't think paramedics would look anywhere else, or notice it anywhere else. For example, I could get one that attached to the outside of my wallet, but I don't know that the paramedics would look for my wallet, and if I'm on my bike, it's probably in my handlebar bag, where it's sure to not be found.
I think someday, I'll end up just getting the important, unchanging information tattooed on my chest or wrist.

I'll be wearing mine when I go back out to tour Mi again in case I'm separated from my wallet and newed medical attention.
I also have a doc on file with several family members if I need medical attention and can't communicate for whatever reason. It might seem like I'm being anal in safeguards, but hey.......it's the only body I got!:D

No its great and the smart thing to do. We all should be thinking of this. I also carry my cell phone but if you get hit by a car or something, I'm willing to bet its not going to work when you need it the most. Just yesteday I was riding and someone was trying to call me but I couldn't get cell phone service.

Speaking of cells, I also have my emergency contacts listed as ICE contacts:D
Good idea Tom. Wouldn't want to freak any of the first responders out when they think they have discovered the former Iraqi dictator. :D
