I can see absolutely nothing at all wrong with saying that since children and basic cyclists are everywhere the roads should be able to accommodate them. Anything else would be elitist and discriminatory. I don't need a wheelchair ramp to cross the street, but because a tiny percentage do, how does it hurt me to have them? It doesn't. How does it hurt you to have bike lanes? Oh, yeah, it provides less need for your classes that supposedly create "advanced" cyclists.

I don't believe there is a conspiracy to get cyclists off roadways,and I don't believe in cyclist inferiority phobia. so therefore I don't oppose bike lanes. and I believe in following the rules of the road while on the road, unless something comes up that makes it not in the cyclist's best interests or safety to do so. that's really it in a nutshell for me and maybe many cyclists, I think. all this talk of conspiracies and phobias is counterproductive to cycling education and/or advocacy.

Please inform us of the manner in which bike-lane stripes make cycling safe for child cyclists and basic cyclists who do not operate according to the rules of the road for drivers of vehicles.. I know of no such effect.
