In college, one of my buddies went down and up S Kibab in abt 4 hours. He is a god.

That sounds about right, but your buddy was moving. To the Colorado on the S. Kaibab, it's 6.2 miles...so 12.4 RT. Dad and I averaged 3.2 mph in the beginning (downhill). Uphill was alot tougher due to the heat and hydration/blistering issues.

If your buddy was able to maintain a do-able 3 mph average, then 4 hours is about right.

For what it's worth, there's people that run North to South rim in under 6 hours. That sounds like a real interesting challenge.

huh. It may have been a different trail then. I know what 4 mph is, and he was going faster than that. He was an All American XC runner, so....

min kim, uci gsm class of 2005? amazon, still too much long-term debt? dude, i brought my road bike down from the bay! i've been riding down here for a few months now. i've done a couple of the centuries in the area, let me know you can ride. i saw eric chan walking the irvine bike patha few weeks ago. pale as a ghost.

so where's all my money i'm supposed to be making since we finished b-school? i hope you're getting it because i'm sure as hell not.
