Hi. I'm looking for a replacement of my front derailer, down cable, 48-38-28 crankset. The previous one was not compatible with Shimano indexed shifters. My all other parts are Tourney, however, I couldn't find anything in my local shops that could fit them, at least according to Shimano docs. I was looking for FD-C051, FD-C102, FD-C202. As far as I understand, those are low-end parts. What would happen if I installed something from Alivio, Acera or any other higher series?

Pretty sure any derailleur would do the trick. No point in spending though as your bike probably won't be worth it...
