For those of you who take your bicycles on Caltrain (or are thinking about it), Caltrain has an on-line survey regarding possible improvements to their bicycles program. Caltrain is the commuter train between San Jose and San Francisco.

Thanks 99, I needed that..
Took the survey and added my 2 cents. I live just South of CalTrains' reach, so I think I got the abridged version of the survey. (Monterey)
But I would just LOOOVE to load the kids on the trike, ride down to the train station and head to S.F. for the day. Tootle along the waterfront, see how steep of a hill we can find to grunt up, check out GG Park & the exploratorium. Then back to the train home.
THAT'S a dream I'd like to see become a reality. ;)
So if I can add my 2 cents to CalTrains' gig, maybe, eventually, the trains will run to Monterey again.
I rode one of the last trains from Monterey to S.F. and back. 5th grade field trip.
Two weeks later, the loco headed off and hasn't returned since. :o
But I'd like it to.

CalTrain is AWESOME for providing an all-bikes car. People who don't have this luxury (aka BART riders) can see the obvious benefits.

Yes, Caltrain is great for bicyclists, except when the bike car fills up and they don't let you on and the next train is a 1 hour wait.

Nobody's perfect. :o
Hey all,
Im new here...good site. I wanted to input my $.02. I ride the ACE train from Stockton to Pleasanton everyday. I must say, in the mornings im able to get my bike on the train, but on the way home i'd be lucky to even get a bike spot on the train. Although, they wont kick us off if there are no spots left. They will make us go to another car and strap it in.
