Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Interesting. Apparently you can install these "9 speed brake levers" and ordinary brakes grow gears.

It may be that this answers the question we've all been asking (right...haven't you - I know I have) "Do you need to brake differently depending on whivh gear you are in?" I think there is a microchip built into each brake lever to sense the gear than applies just the correct amount of brakeing force for the conditions. Seems like eight bucks is really cheap for those features.
Apparently they're pre-crashed as well.
Of course for $8 who gives a crap?

I guess the upside down lever allows you to operate your rear brake with your thumb too. I don't know if I need all this new fangledness. What's next, reverse?
