Hi everyone, I just signed up because im eager to get riding again. I have a mid 90's mongoose switchback, It has shimano altus ST-CT95 shifters (3X7) and aceraX derailers on the back. the shifters have long since broken and I cant get out of second gear. Can someone recomend a shifter that will bolt right onto my bike, hopefully without having to replace the brake lever also. Thanks in advance!

if they are one piece shift brake combos your going to have to replace both. about 40 dollars for a pair of 3x7 shift/brk levers

You might try the local Goodwill. A 3 x 7 setup would be found on many older bikes, and you might find a bike with functioning shifters there for less than you could find or buy just the shifters. And, if you did, could keep the bike for emergency spare parts!

Make sure you pick a Shimano compatible shifter
