Rather than procrastinate and say I'd call them later, I actually followed through and booked a date! :D
So, let me know if you wanna go! Maybe a ride before the brewfest??? :D

This is a two-part process, we (or some, or just me :p) will need to return two weeks later for bottling and pick up. I won't mind bottling & bringing home for those who can't make it. It'll cost ya though. :p

Brewing day will last approx. 2-3 hours
Bottling day will last approx. 1 hour

Half Batch for $115.00
3 cases
36 twenty-two ounce bottles

Full Batch for $199.00
6 cases
72 twenty-two ounce bottles

I am in for a half batch of one of the Pale Ale's plus a gallon of Root Beer. So, if there are 4 other people that want root beer, then we can split the batch...

Is brewing a messy process? If I can make it I'll be coming directly from a work-related soiree and will be in my good clothes. I'm definitely up for some root beer!

Beats me... but you could always wear something underneath and simply strip off the work clothes.

This sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I could be there for this.

My guess is that Rose would like 1 Gal of the Root Beer and I would do Beer Beer...maybe split a half-batch with someone(?) I like Ales, Stouts, Bitters, & Reds...I'm pretty flexible.

I lied. :o We need the crew @ 9:00 a.m. in San Diego. The riders and I have a meeting at 4:00 p.m. in Oceanside, so the crew will be done before that, but not sure of an exact time and how long it will take them to get back up to OC. Sorry!

There's no obligation to purchase anything... you could just come to hang out and enjoy some beer/root beer if you'd like. If you are interested in beer or root beer, I would need to know how much you'd want. :)

My personal experience with social events is that you cannot plan them that far out. I for one can't commit a day that far away for a social event.

People will always find a reason to flake. So I think your best bet is to just do it when you want to and give about a day or two's notice.
