Post your name, description (you & your bike) and distance & aprox. speed and I'll update the list.
145 Miles:
Xi: I'm in. My name's pronounced "Z", look for a black & white jersey riding this thing: (Litespeed w/ carbon wheels.)
Mark: Riding a red/white Allez, black/gray jersey, white helmet.
Eddie - Red Tarmac, wearing black.
100 miles:
oboeguy: Wife and I are in, doing the 100 mile route on our twin Dahon SpeedPro folders. That's right, no 145 for me this year. Definitely NOT doing the extra lighthouse ride (done it before).
I'll be out of town for the next week and a half so I'll have to catch up on the next local Century (with pump & patch kit in hand for some other wayward riders...)

How is Z pronounced? I was not in school the day they taught that.
I'm not sure if I wanna do this. I enjoy racing more than organized rides, and will have to sacrifice a few races to do this. We'll see....

Got an email from Glen urging me NOT to ride the 145 route. There won't be route markings in Manhattan due to police harrassment. (They were threatened with arrest while painting turn markers on the street). No big deal.
Though it is supposed to storm that day... If it is pouring that morning, I'll happily do the 100 miler instead.

What do you have, like, 4 races that same morning? I'll race you out there. :p

I'll keep checking the radar, if it's pouring, screw it, I'm not going. Bad enough I was supposed to go to 2 baseball games this weekend with my gf, if it's gonna be rained out, I might as well be at home bangin.
Glen urging you not to do the 145 miler is actually a test, cause if you can't find your way to the williamsburg bridge, you don't deserve to ride.

It looks like a rather small crowd is up for this ride. I am out of town, otherwise I would have been happy to limp to the finish of the 100 mile ride.

Well, not being able to find the bridge would just be sad. But it wouldn't surprise me. During the Transit Strike I had people asking me for directions to their own apartments. "All I know is the walk from my subway station...."
I'm doing the ride no matter what. My wife's relatives are in the city this weekend and if I stay in NYC I will be sucked into their plans.

i'm gonna skip this one. i like the mountauk ride alot, but the past two years i've done it i was gone from 3:30am to 7pm. that train ride feels so long on the way back. i think i'm heading up to piermont or something instead.
enjoy the ride and especially enjoy not spending time with the wife's relatives. haha.
Twice in the same month is a bit much for me. I'll probably be doing the Tour De Brooklyn (http://www.tourdebrooklyn.org), on Sunday, instead.

Technically it's a new month.:p

OK. Two weeks apart is a bit much for me.. especially when there's a free ride going on in Brooklyn
I know. Technically that's a different day.:p

Tim, I will, thanks! Sample quote from relatives: "Oh, so you can't go with us to "Chicago" OR "Spring Awakening"?! Wow, you're really going to miss out!!"
I might try to do the Tour de Brooklyn on Sunday too if I'm able-bodied.
If I go, I'll be riding my wife's old silver Specialized Hard Rock with my 6 yr old daughter on a black Trail A Bike.

I'm out, my legs need a rest.
By the time I get home tonight from work, I will have ridden just over 700 miles for the month of May. Add that to softball one night a week, hockey one night a week, and I'm one pretty tired dude. I've got a hockey game tonight and then I'm going to do nothing till I take my daughter swimming Sunday morning.
For those going, it looks like the weather will hold out, enjoy the ride and don't forget to let us know how Glen's ride was.
Anyone riding the extra 5 miles to the actual light house?

If it's pouring out tomorrow a.m., I will happily take the train and do the 100. The 5 extra miles? Depends on how I feel. I was very happy to be done with the 145 route during the 5BBC ride.
If it's pouring tomorrow, I'm gonna sleep in and maybe go up to nyack in the afternoon hehe. I'll eat the loss.
Supposed to rain overnight but taper off by 5/6, then partly sunny all morning / day. Looks like it may be a pretty decent day with a bit of a tailwind to boot.
Yeah it looks like it'll stop raining but the roads out there get pretty muddy, esp the 2-3 miles before the beach, which is like, going to be all mud with giant pot holes. Nyack sounds pretty good right now, plus I come home sooner.
Yeah... read about the dude the fell in the hole. Still... was quite a bit to pony up for this thing to pull out now. Screw it, I'm in even if it's pouring; although the train ride into Babylon may be on the menu if that's the case.
Yeah, like I said I'll eat the loss, my time and comfort's worth more than that. If you didn't pay yet, take my registration.
Thanks, but I was on the fence until pretty much the last minute and ended up paying. Boy, did I get the wrong week to break a saddle and a pedal too.
In any case, I'm gonna try to get an early start; say hi if you end up going. I'll be wearing the billboard-like Giordana shorts.
