Is there a way to (visually or otherwise) tell the difference between ISO and JIS spindle tapers?
I have a 110mm KSS botom bracket that I need to replace, and finding specs on this unit is proving difficult. It's been mated to (and played nicely with) a pair of Dotek JB-PRO6-170 cranks.
Thanks to Sheldon Brown, (http://sheldonbrown.com/bbsize.html#square), I think I'm probably looking at JIS, but would be interested in first-hand knowledge.
On a side note: it's not the bearings that have gone bad, but the right side endcap; the stinkin' thing's plastic and started to break. (Anyone know if there are metal replacements available?)
