Pomegranates.
I have always had difficulty battling my snacking urges however with pomegranates I get a tasty fruit with all requirements that snacking addicts require ... repetitive hand-to-mouth food. The beauty of this fruit is that it takes forever to eat if you snack on one seed at a time. No more fat laden chips for me ... at least for tonight :o
What are your favourite healthy snacks?

Oh, and pomegranates are awesome but are really messy and turn my hands green. Munching on an apple now.

I recently discovered in the frozen food section that they have shelled edamame (soy beans). I throw some of that into a tupperware container with a bit of garlic salt, pepper, and a dab of olive oil. Throw it in the microwave at work and I have a great tasting snack that fills me up. Lots of protein and no fat too.
Straight cranberry juice.

I haven't had the guts to try soy-anything yet. I'm slowly working up my courage. I have a feeling that I won't find it tasty simply because my mind is pretty much made up that it won't taste good. Yeah, I know, I have an open mind :D
Is it tasty the first time you try it or is it an aquired taste?

Some grocery stores have toasted soybeans, they taste like peanuts, but no peeling! Great for snacks while hiking/biking.

Nape.
I like baby carrots. A lot of times I eat when I'm bored and these don't make me feel guilty. Unlike eating that whole box of Oreo Pudding did earlier...
only problem with carrots is the fiber.

Poms, mmmmmm, absolutely love them. My grandma used to have a Pom tree in her backyard. I remember as a kid, whenever I went there on vacation, I would get one fruit every day :D, yummy!

I just picked some baby snow peas from my garden. Easy to grow and no cooking required. Just pick them and pop 'em in your mouth.

Edamame rocks. First time I had it was at a Japanese restaurant and I had no idea it was soy beans. They serve the unshelled version which is kind of fun to eat because you squeeze the bean into your mouth. It's basically a bean with a real meaty texture. A little garlic salt and pepper (I also add a very tiny bit of olive oil) and they are really good. I eat the stuff like popcorn. Trust me, I'm NOT a health food nut and I love 'em.
They're also pretty cheap - $1 gets you two big bowls of it. Boil or steam them for three mins, done. I eat them a bit more traditional - toss them with sea salt.
a bowl of lamps? You confuse poor Jsharr, Air!
